Join us on Valentine's Day, Tuesday, February 14 at 7pm for our second Sturgis Cinema Circle film with a screening of the 4K restoration of the 1953 Audrey Hepburn classic, Roman Holiday! Featuring Gregory Peck, the film follows a sheltered princess (Hepburn) as she escapes her guardians and falls for an American newsman (Peck) in Rome, Italy. The Sturgis Cinema Circle seeks to engage audiences with the experience of seeing classic films on the big screen while enjoying an expanded understanding of the film's cultural and historical significance through a featured post-show conversation hosted by the director of the Sturges-Young.Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for students, seniors and military. The Sturges-Young Center for the Arts in conjunction with the Sturgis Civic Players is hosting acting and public speaking workshops and open casting calls for upcoming musicals and the Sturgis Historical Society Cemetery Tours! You do not have to have prepared materials or experience, just a desire to learn how to perform and and polish public speaking skills! 2 days of workshops, Friday, Feb 17 at 5pm and Saturday, Feb 18 at 3pm, FREE and open to performers of all ages and experience!
