ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT
247: Sturgis Historical Society invites you to embark on an evening where Titanic historian Byron Matson will regale us with stories about the ill-fated Titanic, and we will partake in some delicious treats. Matson is a master in giving presentations on the Titanic. He dresses in period clothing and even brings along a large model of the ship when he speaks. The event will take place in McKenzie Hall of St. John's Episcopal Church in Sturgis. St. John's rectory - the Helen Walton Bishop Memorial Rectory - is named in memory of a young Sturgis resident who survived the Titanic shipwreck! You can learn more about Helen's story during Matson's presentation. "Treats & Tales" will take place on Monday, August 26th, at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $10 per person, available at the Sturgis Historical Museum.
